October 5th, 2007- Dear Families, Happy Friday! I can’t believe October is already here! It’s been a busy week in first grade and we are slowly getting into the routine of things. Getting to know your child has been a fun adventure! They are a creative and energetic bunch of first graders! We have fun every day in class together because they always make me laugh and keep me on my toes! Here’s what we worked on this week:
I recently sent home field trip permission forms for the Seattle Aquarium; if you haven’t sent yours back yet, please do so. We have 5 chaperones and you will be notified if you are one. We will be going to the Seattle Aquarium on Tuesday, November 27th from 9:20-2:00. On this day, please make sure your child has a coat, appropriate walking shoes and a disposable sack lunch. A reminder will come home as we get closer to the actual date. In your new homework bag for the week, is a letter about Everyday Math On-line Resources. I hope you get an opportunity to read this letter, so your child can start playing some fun math games on-line! I introduced it in the computer lab and they had fun trying it out. Well, that’s it from me this week! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t ever hesitate to contact me! We are in this together as a partnership to make first grade the best experience for your child. I hope you have a fabulous weekend! I will be just hanging out; hopefully the weather will be nice! Take care! Warmly,
Priscilla
