SAGE Binder

SAGE binders are divided into 5 sections.  Each section represents a different type of work we do in SAGE.  You can click on the section names to learn more about each one. (It's going to take some time for me to complete all sections.  I'm going to work on them in order of importance.)

SAGE Self-Assessments

Experts point out that self-evaluation is one of the hallmarks of  successful students.  So, student self-assessments are done twice yearly in the SAGE program; in March and June.  The district has identified eight areas for consideration in these evaluations.  These are divided into two main categories: Intellectual/Academic and Social/Emotional.

While students do not receive a "report card" from the teacher, they are closely supervised throughout the evaluation process to assure that their assessments are meaningful and useful.  At the same time students assess their progress in March, they are also setting goals in one or more areas.  From time to time throughout the rest of the year, they will informally check to see how well they've followed through on their goal(s).  And, at the end of the year, they will do a formal report on their goal follow-through.

You can view the  SAGE Student Goal Sheet, the Self-Assessment Rubric and the Self-Assessment Sheet by clicking on any of the links.
