Within each content area, students will experience hands-on activities as well as work through the Scientific Inquiry Method. This will help them prepare for the Science WASL this spring, which is based solely on process-oriented scenarios:

| HYPOTHESIS | WHAT do you predict the OUTCOME of your investigation will be? |
| MATERIALS | WHAT items do you need for your investigation? |
| DIAGRAM | ILLUSTRATE how your investigation will look - LABEL! LABEL! LABEL! |
| PROCEDURE | HOW will you go about your investigation? In what ORDER will you proceed? |
| DATA | WHAT RESULTS did you record after 3 TRIALS? |
| CONCLUSION | Was your hypothesis PROVED or DISPROVED? |
| DISCUSSION | Answer any other questions that arose from your investigation |
